QuickAssist, a software program that enables remote technological assistance without requiring any form of call. The individual guiding the session has the ability to request complete control of the computer, thus enabling any software repair, printer/copier addition, troubleshoot system-level issues, or software installation to be completed all while both parties remain completely remote. Please see the below how-to guide for assistance with your session--as either an administrator, or assistance recipient. Read below on this program's specifics:
QuickAssist can only be run on Microsoft PCs with software updates no older than Windows 10.
You may have heard of Windows Remote Assistance: this is a similar program that was implemented before QuickAssist, so it may have been heard of before.
QuickAssist operates via one-on-one sessions; no group sessions are able to be supported by the server.
All subsequent connect attempts will be blocked until the first helper disconnects, after which another helper may connect. If the user disconnects the session, the remote assistance application terminates and no further connections are allowed.
Nota bene: ensure any sensitive data is concealed before beginning session, especially if you anticipate control of your PC will be requested.
